“30 Years and Counting” by Gary Petty When Senco decided to start a private fleet, Greg Mathien, Senco’s Manager of Traffic & Transportation, was told to be prepared to shut down the fleet on 2 week’s notice. As a result, Mathien said ‘we need flexibility’. Senco decided that leasing drivers and equipment would work. Fortunately, the 2 week’s notice never came. “The reason,” says Mathien, “can be summed up in a few words: great drivers. We found our CPC drivers to be ‘keepers’.
